Its odd that the PTO would warble on 80, 40, and 20, and just drift on 15 and 10 meters. The PTO is used direct on 80 and 20 and is heterodyne by selected crystals on all the other bands. So any frequency instabilities of the PTO should be the same on all bands. It is possible for a worn PTO drive to allow some drift and frequency change but it should show up the same on all bands. Probably the problem is in low supply voltage or failing voltage regulators for the PTO an crystal heterodyne oscillators. -- 73, Jerry, K0CQ, All content copyright Dr. Gerald N.
