A friend has lent me his new Omni 7 for a few days to check out, set up and generally make ready.

While I was able to get the rfsquared.com remote software (with receive audio) working from a couple of other machines on the LAN here (locally), I am not able to receive audio over remote internet connection, even though I can get the remote connection to go active (I can control the radio, but not receive audio from it.) I'm puzzled by this, because port 49152 (default) is properly opened for incoming UDP in my internet firewall, and it seems only UDP is used for control as well as audio. Radio control works (can tune, change mode, watch S meter, etc. and I think this is using the same UDP as the audio path), but receive audio doesn't (no receive audio).

Not sure how to make use of some of the statistics fields shown in the software to help troubleshoot this.

Anyway, wondering if there's a gathering place for those working through remote access issues with the Omni 7 - I have the rig captive for just a few days before it goes to it's long-term QTH, and I'd love to get a handle on this before giving it up (so I can access it from there!)
