I must say that I agree with you. And... NO you are NOT too touchy on this subject.

According to what I read on the auction site, the justification was the poor cosmetic condition of the rig. However, every part including the cabinet covers and knobs are listed as being in perfect condition!

I would not bid on any of these parts either!

I am seeing fellows stripping working(verified by Ten Tec) rigs down to the
board level and parting them out.

YES, I know it is not illegal, but is ANYONE besides me appalled at this?

On the famous auction site a Paragon is on 20 or so auctions.......I can not
even IMAGINE doing that to a working rig.

I would not bid on the boards, myself, but is this common?

(am I too touchy on this?)
