I've had that happen to my Paragon with RF getting into the radio. Have you tried it into s dummy load with solid coax?

My favorite radio, my Ten Tec Paragon, has developed a problem. When I press the tune button or key the mike, the radio goes into transmit mode and won't
drop out of it after a release the tune button or release the mike. I have
to turn off the radio before it melts down. Does anybody have any idea what
is happening?
