IIRC normal conversation is around 60-70 dB. Sixth-row center at a live concert with 50 unamplified musicians reaches around 100-106 dB during their loudest passages.

I remember hearing that the band Blue Cheer set the record for a live concert (I think it's in Guinness) of 136 dB.

All good suggestions! ;~>

I googled around a little the other day concerning ear protection used
by the Navy on aircraft carrier decks.
One of the Navy articles said that these guys can lose up to 65% of
their hearing!
Upper deck volume can exceed 150dB
Supposedly normal conversation volume is typically measured at around
30dB.

My wife must have the TV up at around 50!!

Some times I wish I was like Data on Star Trek ( turn it off!! ) :)
