Hi Gary,
I use the Heil BM-10 http://www.heilsound.com/amateur/bm10.htm 99% of the
time on SSB.
I think I understand what you have said in your email.
I use a Heil Yaesu adapter that I purchased in approx. 1998 for a Yaesu
1000MP and it works well with the BM-10 now on the Orion II.
However, I do have to use chokes in the boomset cable just before it goes
into the Orion II on 80 meters because RF is getting into the mic line..
The RF in the shack is a no greater now than with the 1000MP which never was
a problem so I am wondering (wild guess) if the wiring in the Orion II.and
the adapter needs to be corrected as you suggested in your email to solve
this RF problem?
Would you suggest I take the Heil adapter apart and change the wiring where
on the plug where it plugs into the Orion II per your email information?
