Hi John,
You are going to need multiple DX sources to track past, present and future
DX operations to find the DX info you are looking for.
The best starting point for current DXCC entity identification is any decent
logging software packages. Most support separate DX identity files that you
can download and keep DX info current. Most of these programs will identify
the correct DXCC entity just by entering the QSO in your log and will be
accurate about 99% of the time (except for French DXCC entities). Though I
don't use Linux I'm sure there are Linux logging programs that do this.
Some of the many sources for DXCC entity info are:
NG3K's website at:
http://www.ng3k.com/Misc/adxo.html
The ARRL's DX Bulletin that you can subscribe to at:
http://www.arrl.org/w1aw.html#email
Numerous other Bulletins are available by doing a DX Bulletin Google.
You'll want to get QSL cards and/or LotW QSLs for your DX QSOs so you'll
need QSL info. These sites also have DXCC entity info:
HamCall at:
http://hamcall.net/
IK3QAR at:
http://www.ik3qar.it/manager/
OZ7C's QSL search at:
http://www.ddxg.dk/oz7c/qsl1_1.asp
OZ7C's MRG search at:
http://www.ddxg.dk/oz7c/mgr1.asp
WM7D's QSL search at:
http://www.wm7d.net/
K4UTE's QSL Lookup, also Prefix and Zone lookup at:
http://nfdxa.com/K4UTE/k4ute.html
And finally one that incorporates a little of everything, K3WWP's site at:
http://home.alltel.net/johnshan/dx_ss_routes.html
There are lots more sites but this should keep you busy.

Thanks very much for the suggestions and offers of help! A member of the
group contacted me privately and identified all of my unknowns. (The
Zone 32 was Cook Island, yay!) I'd hoped there was something online that
replicated the identification function of the professional logging programs.
As my signature suggests, I use Linux whenever not actually forced not
to (i.e., at work). I don't quite have Xlog working right yet, or any of
the others. I'd rather put up with some occasional inconvenience ---
such as the rather labor-intensive process of converting a spreadsheet
log into a Cabrillo text file --- than go back to another OS.
