Apparently the low output on my Centurion was caused by poor contact in the
band switch.
I enlisted the aid of NU5D who owns a radio shop in a nearby town who found
that after a good
cleaning of the contacts on the band switch output returned to 1200 watts. I
had already installed
new 3-500ZG tubes and that did not fix anything. The original Eimac 3-500Z
tubes are still good
and really had few hours on them anyway. I guess I will sell them in a swap
meet.
Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
