Hi Don,

Some of the likely causes of the RELAY line being grounded all the time are: Relay K1 contacts welded together by some previous accident, C14 or C8 failed in a short circuit mode, Q16 failed in an always on mode, or something like a solder blob bridging across circuit board traces turning on Q16 all the time. You could lift one end of R29 and see if the RELAY line resistance to ground goes up. If it does, then maybe the relay and Q16 are okay, and there is something wrong with the line that drives Q16. If lifting R29 changes nothing at J7 then one of those components ( K1, Q16, C8 or C14 ) must be in failure mode.

I have turned the relay on in the menu, but either "on" or "off", the line is keyed all the time.
