Well, I really got that one wrong. No you cannot operate crossband split
with an Omni VI. At least not with mine in CW mode. It does work in SSB
or FM TX mode, and does not seem to matter what mode is set for the VFO
memory used for receive. When CW mode is selected on the VFO memory used
for transmit, you can get it to transmit a carrier ( a "dit" or"dah" of
any length you like ), but you cannot key the transmitter to form any
characters (other than a single "E" or "T" ). It does not matter whether
you have selected FAST or SLOW QSK.
