Hello, I couldn't resist telling all how 'easy' it was to add a cooling fan to the PA final fins. Just drilled four holes, then tied a 4-inch 115vac Rotron 'whisper-quiet' fan with plastic tie-wraps. The power drain is 4-watts and my test was 80 watts for one hour and not even 110F at the end of the test.... Luke warm to the fingers! A happy camper... W3RYJ, Jim Reed. PS: My rig comes on through a power-strip so the fan only runs when the rig is 'on'. _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
