Bernard, i use LOGic8 and MixW. the connection to the Orion is simple plug the serial cable into your computer or into a USB to serial adapter. you may have to set your software to the COM port.

if you wish to use your software to send CW, you will need another serial port or USB connection to a keying circuit of some simple sort.

the cable supplied with your Orion for the I/O Aux to computer sound card does the digital mode your software specifies.

MixW's help file shows a two resistor, one diode, one transistor circuit that keys CW.

otherwise there is only the Orion to set. the manual suggests starting points for digital operation.

i have two Orions hooked to my computer. LOGic8 reads them both at the same time. with the mouse i can set the active radio. i have separate CW keying switches which can change in MixW by changing the COM port to be keyed. digital modes need no other connectors.

the Orion was engineered for digital modes and needs no adapters of any kind except to go from the ends of the I/O cable which have RCA plugs to 1/8" plugs for the sound card.

Hallo

can I use my Orion I V2 in PSK31 without an interface?
And if its possible, how is the connection between soundcard and TRX?

I use the Hamradio del Luxe/ PSK31 DeLuxe software.

Thanks for help
