It's just hot air from some folks who are deathly afraid of suffering buyer's remorse. They go through the same psychosis when they buy a car and Consumer Reports or Motor Trend pans it. Doesn't bother me.

They can check into their 40 meter Ole' Farts net with a Swan 350, which was affectionately known as the Swan "Three Drifty"~!

Interesting comment from someone who has never owned an Orion or Orion 2.
The assumption is that owners of these rigs don't spend much time on the
air, and don't know their rigs very well, and that is the reason they
complain.

I wonder what Orion owners think of this explanation?

  Dude,

You couldnt be more right, these complainers should spend more time on
the air getting aquainted with their rigs instead of sitting here bashing
them. I've had every high end TT made before the Orion and had nothing bad
to say about any one of them. In fact my favorite was the original Omni 6
without the added DSP and revisions. Now that I have some "curtain
climbers", the shack took a back seat, but I hope to add an O2 to the shack
sometime soon. To everyone at TT, have no fear, there are some of us out
here who appreciate the hard work and new rigs you provide us with even if
the revisions come slow. Some of us remember when boards had to be pulled
and SNAIL MAILED to from and back for this to happen. In fact I remember
when boards were shipped to me before I sent them my old one.. Now thats
trusty service!!

For the most part, a friendly voice can be found on the other end of the
phone to help you out, as long as TT keeps that end up, they will have a
customer for life.. Me.. Richy N2ZD

After watching this string for a few days I recall that when the Orion II
came out everyone was having a fit as to why Ten Tec kept it such a
secret.
Can You blame them?
This thing is not even off the prototype bench and we beat QST on the
first
review.
Most of the stuff is negative about a rig we have not yet seen in our
shacks.
That is why I think Ten Tec should adopt the idea to stop trying to pleas
everyone and just please themselves with higher profits.
The overseas radio producers must have a ball watching this list bash
American made products and companies that try to be loyal to an ever
increasing

number of disgruntled individuals that will never be pleased.
