Subject: [TenTec] Jupiter NR
This year I took Pegs (KB9LIE) Jupiter on vacation. It has the latest
update
firmware.
When I pushed NR to see if I could get rid of some of the atmospheric
noise,
I lost all receive audio. I tried this several times thinking that maybe I
was not tuned right on freq to the station calling. Disengage NR and
everything is OK again.
Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong?
Otherwise the rig worked great. The new firmware with the narrower filter
selection was much better than previous selection which I think was 300hz
in
the narrowest position. With the filter selection below 300hz, much of the
noise dissapeared.
I took the cooling fan from my Omni VI+ to put on it and the heat sink
never
felt a bit warm.
We also worked some of the list members. THANKS!
