with my Ten Tec Orion. Can I connect the Orion's AMP1 connection
directly to the L7 VOX RELAY line or do I need an external keying

Neil,
My L-7 relay input jack shows an open circuit voltage of 27.7 VDC
and a short circuit current of 3.2 milliamps. I've had no problems
keying it directly with my Omni 6+. Dunno about the specs on the
Orion, however.
