Just a note:

Our club uses Triton 544 transceivers (with BP filters, if possible)
for each HF position... purely functional, no mass of buttons or menus.
It's all intuitional, plus the rigs have only the FD bands.  no muss,
no fuss. (anyone can sit down in front of one and hit the bands running)
