I have also noticed similar types of bugs in the O2, including one I
occasionally see where two antennas get selected at once. Changing bands
fixes the problem, and I haven't considered it serious since I always check
to see which antenna is selected.

Subject: [TenTec] Orion Band Decoder Output Bug
I have been using the Orion for two years and had not noticed this issue -
its a function of how you operate. I use the band decoder output from the
Orion to drive a Top-Ten band decoder and two remote antenna switches. They
switch 5 antennas onto the Orion, depending on the band. In testing the
issues associated with the "mode transfer bug," when using the Orion A>B, I
noticed the antenna switch didn't always switch when the B VFO changed
frequency. So I did some testing and what I observe is if the B VFO , for
instance, is on 20M, in split-mode, the band decoder output of the Orion is
switched to 20M. If you use the front key entry pad to put a new frequency
on the A VFO, for 40M, and then do an A>B - the frequency transfers to the
B VFO but the band decoder output of the Orion does not change to 40M. It
looks like the Orion band decoder output only changes when you use the
front keypad to change bands or if you command the Orion remotely, from a
program, to go to a new fr
equency/band.
I don't know if the same logic is in the V2.056 firmware - I haven't
checked it. Someone that uses V2.056 may want to check. I'm sure the V1
code won't get fixed but this should go on the V2 bug list if it is the
same logic in V2 - otherwise you can get a surprise when your amplifier
starts to load the wrong antenna!
