I installed the upgrade chip in my internal LDG tuner. Somehow I was
expecting the tuner to act more like the one in my TS-850S/ATU
automatically tuning to a memorized setting when bands were changed.
While the modified LDG does tune considerably faster than before, the
Tune button needs to be depressed each time a band is changed.
Dwayne explained that TT firmware issues a command to inactivate/
bypss the tuner when bands are changed.
