Here are a couple of web sites with the relevent dope: http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/trancirc.htm click the link called "and PNP" Also see: http://www.rason.org/Projects/transwit/transwit.htm With respect to using a relay, the answer is yes you can use a relay. The PNP transistor is simply a substitute. A relay cost several dollars a 2n2907 costs 50 cents. With resect to the emitter follower, this link is to what I have always tought an NPN emitter follower is: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hbase/electronic/transwitch.html#c5 click on the link "NPN Emitter Follower" I don't see how grounding the base of this transistor causes the transistor to conduct. 73 W9OY __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
