The total bandwidth is 6 Khz. So you're only going to see 3 Khz of audio if
you are center tuned on an AM signal and have PBT = 0.
If you tune to one side or the other of the signal, or set PBT to place the
carrier towards one side of the signal, you will see the AF response you
might be expecting.
So with noise input only, you'll see about 6 Khz of response, but an actual
signal, centered, is only going to show 3 Khz.
