It gets curiouser and curiouser! TT says you shouldn't switch more than 15 V
on the Key out, however, the schematic (A0, 81908_5.pdf) shows the switching
for Amp 1 is done with Q29, an MJE50 NPN transistor, which is good to switch
more than 200 V. There is a CMR1-10 general purpose diode (D111) across the
emitter and collector which is rated at 1,000 volts! Switching 24 - 28 VDC
should be no problem if there is no large current. Maybe a reed relay or
switching transistor is needed to interface.
That still doesn't explain what went wrong in 2.031.
I am loading back 2.031 and going to PTT until I hear back from TT service.
