I dunno, couldn't you put it in a rucksack with a gel cell battery and
make a packset out of it? I bet those 20 W military packsets like the
AN/PRC-15 or AN/URC-87 were a lot heavier than an Argonaut. I think a
few people have made portable setups for the Scout.

I do have some QRP radios (Elecraft KX1) but only use them for backpack
portable.
I run my Argo V at 20W, but it does have a power-output meter so if anyone
wants to be officially QRP, he can always turn down the power to 5W. The Argo V
is too big and bulky for backpacking, and consumes too much current, but my
hiking days were over 50 years ago :-)
