Charlie; My Orion had no sub receiver receive. Only funny sounds that were not changed when I tuned the sub VFO up and down in frequency. I'll try my best to tell you how I removed and replaced the SAME battery. There is no need to actual put a new battery in if the original one is OK and it probably is. Take the top off. You'll need a funny hex screw tip screw-driver of sorts to take those funny screws off in the back. Take the top off then take the bottom off. On the bottom you'll see a small round battery. Remove it and wait for a minute then put the SAME battery back in. This erases the RAM memory that Ten Tec said a RAM clear does but I tried a RAM clear on mine and that didn't solve the problem. The removal of the battery and putting the SAME battery back in fixed the problem in mine. Not saying yours will act the same way but it's worth a Ham try! George |
