Keep in mind that when using headphones and monitoring ones voice signal via
the radio, your voice is conducted to the ears via two paths. One is bone
conduction {internal to the head} and the second path exists via the radio
and headphones. Thus the monitor level must be loud enough to overcome bone
conduction.
