This is exactly how I ran psk on my old Kenwood TS440.......plug 'n play.
The 450, then went to DIN plugs...which required a bit more work.

In my case the Omni VI Plus is connected to the computer directly without
any interface, transformers or level shifting devices. With that said, the sound card in the computer supplies both LINE INPUT and LINE OUTPUT levels.
Most have only Mic input and speaker output levels. These won't work
without some level attenuation methods.

With the sound card supplying Line In and Line Out levels, connect direct to the RCA jacks on the back of the Omni being Audio In and Audio Out. Adjust levels on the Sound Card mixer as needed. The VOX gain on the Omni is at 15
and the VOX delay at zero and the front panel MIC level control runs at
about 9 o'clock. Be sure the PROCESSOR is not active. Using Mix-W as
software, choose the mode of your choice and enjoy digital contacts.

I've used this method for years very successfully and with excellent
reports.

Can anyone offer a bit of basic advice on rtty connections and operation
with the Omni 6 please.
The limited amount of digital stuff I've played with over the past 25
years has always been through rigblaster interfaces and I believe the
Omni 6 has the right connections to do without one for rtty and other
digital modes.
I note there is audio in , audio out and mark/space rca's on the back of
the rig, but the info in the manual is somewhat lacking compared to the
FT 920 and soundcard I was using at the last attempt.
I've used various programs including mixw2 and mmtty amongst others,
But a bit of guidance wouldn't go amiss.
I'm not a digi mode sort of operator, SSB is my first love ( sacrilege
I hear most of you say ) but would love to have a play !!
I have an Omni VI opt3 and an Omni D series B
Replies off list would be fine.
Mni tnx
