I have had my Orion for over two years and have never had a problem with the
keyer. I also have a Yaesu Ft 1000 MP and I do not see any difference with
the keyers. The Orion has a better receiver and the switching seems much
smoother.

George,
Please tell me more about the internal keyer problem. Could this be RF
getting into your keying line? I am getting ready to purchase an O2 and
in internal keyer is a big issue. I have had a Corsair 2 for 18 years and
the keyer was excellent and never failed once. Am I going to have to go
by an external keyer now? That shoots up the cost all the more. I am
bordering on going back to the Yaesu FT 1000 MP if I have to keep buying
extras to make an EXPENSIVE radio work right.

I owned as well.
Sometimes I think I can't send CW because of the extraneous dits or dahs
it
inserts. Still may be me but this keyer is hard for me to use.
It seems that the ratio isn't correct but it still may be me???
