A dipole (the antenna mentioned in the article) is generally used as a
resonant antenna.
That does not affect the impedance mis-match between the feedline and the
antenna, and also the rig, in the
examples given.
Of course, I would not have done it the way they mentioned in the article,
but that's beside the point.
