A 1:1 current balun works only in limited cases when its impedance
is much higher than the load impedance. Given that most commercial
baluns have difficulty reaching 500 Ohms, the application is limited
to load impedances of ~50 Ohms or less.

In addition to the impedance problem, there is also a voltage handling 
problem with high impedance loads.
