Shortly after I said that the ram clear fixed the problem, it did it again! Should have kept quiet. I was in screen color selection #3, had been using #4 for a week or so. Don't know if the color selection has anything to do with it or not. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen M. Ram-Clear (or master reset) didn't solve the problem. I still have S-meter
freeze and a dead scan after a few hours of receiving. Yes, power off-on
clears the condition. I did another ram-clear, no help.

Note, this time I NOTICED something that may be useful to TT:
The main AF control moves the LCD display bar, but the volume doesn't change
in my earphones. The volume does change for the speaker (if I unplug the
phones). The sub AF does work the earphones and the sub RX does have the
s-meter display working ok.

OK, the info I found:
To Activate the RAM-CLEAR feature.

1) PRESS and HOLD the VFOB-LCK button while turning on the radio.
2) WAIT until the BATTERY FAILURE message appears on the screen.
3) Answer YES when 'Clear User Memories?' appears on the screen.
4) Answer YES when 'Reset Optional Filters?' appears on the screen.
5) When radio screen appears, turn radio OFF and back ON.

BUT, 3) and 4) don't show (on the O2) is it different then the O1?
Memories are clear so it must do it automatically?

Now, I wait...

I did a master reset and I am still seeing the "bug". I will try again...

Now, all I can do is listen and wait...

I suppose you guys have done a ram clear and master reset? This cleared
the
problem up for one BETA tester.
