I dropped off my 1220 2-meter rig at TenTec the day after their hamfest
(October 3rd). My credit card was billed on November 3rd. I received my
radio on November 7th. I would have received it sooner but it took 2 days
longer thanks to a weekend.
I thought the repair time was reasonable based on what is said on TenTec's
web page http://radio.tentec.com/Support , 3-4 weeks for non-warranty repair
DEPENDING (emphasis mine) on workload.
They found no problem with the radio (that made me feel real brilliant) but
I assume they aligned it (can that always be assumed?) and I noticed they
added one modification (a small capacitor). I was charged a very reasonable
$42.50.
I do wish TenTec included a little more detail on the invoice. What was the
purpose of the capacitor they added, etc.? I'm sure I could call and get
answers to my questions.

Ten days from door to door. They got it on a Thursday and finished it
the
next
Tuesday, 4 working days.
YMMV, but that is very impressive in my book and they deserve the credit.
My mileage varied. Sent my Pegasus in on Oct 28, they received November
2,
shipped back Dec 6, arrived back Dec. 9.
43 days door to door. Told 3 to 4 weeks. Actually 6 weeks plus.
