Ed:
That's excellent, very low drift. Hardened PTO grease usually causes
frequency jumping, not warm-up drift. I had it really bad with my
Corsair, until I rebuilt the PTO. The components were not really worn,
it was just the grease that was causing the problem.

Hi Bob,
I get about +/- 20Hz drift after a half hour of warm up from a cold start.
I think I'll try the PTO rebuild first before modifying the circuit. Still
have to talk with TenTec to see what they have to say.

Ed:
Try different values for the temperature compensating capacitor. This is
selected at the factory, but you may get better results from another
value. Only trouble is, N750 caps are hard to find, but I think Mouser
carries them.

I tried my Argosy 525 on MFSK tonight, and had to turn switch rigs
because
of the PTO drift. Is there a known problem with PTO drift on this rig?
If
there is, what's the fix?
Thanks,
