Sorry Phil, I don't have the mod for Scout Hiss. Mine has never had hiss, but I think those that had hiss were trying to use low impedance headphones. The Scout really likes high impedance, (15,000 ohms) military surplus phones I have, and I do not have to turn up audio very much. That of course, means you never go high in gain where hiss might be an issue. If you have some 1950's 2000 ohms phones try those, or order some from the Crystal Set Radio Society web page or Antique Electronic Supply. GL, Stuart K5KVH |
