Malcolm,
I think it depends on your repair expertise. If you want a useable amp and
don't want a lot of fixup I'd avoid this. If you are setup for
troubleshooting and have the ability to do what may be a big repair then the
current price (around 175 pounds the last time I checked) is pretty good.
One problem I noticed is that the hv xformer was around 2.5 KV which is too
low. Unfortunately, the owner did not get the Centurion plate xformer that
Peter Dahl Co. manufactures which is an excellent replacement; superior to
the stock transformer in my opinion. Getting one of those is where I would
start.

Of course, as a parts source, what this amp is going for isn't a bad price
assuming it doesn't go much higher.
