Hi guys,
I'm looking for the DAIWA PS30 XM II electrical layout with the parts list and
the manual. Anyone could help me?
Thank you in advance for your help and kindness.

I had ordered two replacement reed relays for my OMNI V.
Just arrived and they are made by:

Hi,
I've been without a Ten-Tec rig for far to long. So I bought a used
Corsair II that was posted to this reflector. I haven't received it yet
but I thought I'd share how my shack will look with the new rig. I have
imagined a photo at http://w2nra.com
BTW I have owned a Corsair II before and it was one of my favorite radios.

For Sale:
TenTec 217 and 218 Crystal Filters
Both of these can be used in the early Omnis,
Omni V, VI, Argosy, or as roofing filters in the Orion.
They are for the 9 MHz IF.
217 is a 500 Hz filter for CW
218 is a 1800 Hz filter for narrow SSB, or
wide CW
The filters work fine, and include paper work
with them. They are $69 each, plus shipping
from Florida. I will sell individually, or together.
Thanks.

Hi Jason,
Now that you have had the Inrad roofing filter modification in you Omni
VI for a while, I wonder what are your impressions? I don't know what
kind of operating you do, so you may not have noticed the improvement
too much yet, if you have not operated any contests since you got it
installed. Or maybe you operate on 40 meters amounst the SWBC carriers
often, and have noticed a great improvement already. I am also curious
whether you have noticed any difference in the way the noise blanker
functions with the Inrad mod in line?
It appears that the location in the signal path of the Inrad roofing
filter modification was chosen as much for ease of installation and
deinstallation as much as for any other reason. There is only one gain
stage (Q1 on the 9 MHz mixer/IF board) that the Inrad roofing filter is
in front of, that the standard Ten-Tec 2.4 kHz filter (Y2) is not also
in front of. And the Inrad mod is also in front of the NB detector and
switch. This is based on my Omni VI schematic, and it is not a + or
version 3. I don't have a schematic of those.
Can you discern any difference in the noise blanker function
with/without the Inrad roofing filter? For instance when band conditions
are such that your ability to copy a signal is not limited by close in
strong signals, and is limited by QRN and you are using the noise
blanker, what works best? Inrad roofing filter in or out?
Thanks,
Ken N6KB

George W2VJN has set up a reflector at Inrad
for anyone wanting to discuss possible new products.
Here is the list info page:

and a few comments from George:
"We are just getting started and our hope is that
the customers can help each other. We get some 50

of what I could invent if I had less phone calls and
emails to answer."

Hi Allan,
I didn't realize the cost was $175; I thought it would be around $100. $175
is more than I paid for my Argonaut, so it doesn't make sense to spend that
much on a filter. I apologize for not checking on the price right away.
Please remove me from your Buy list.

Just a quick question for the group about the Orion Sweep. It looks like mine
has "frozen." In past times, turning off the Orion and turning it back on has
"fixed" the problem. Well, this time it hasn't. I've cycled the Orion on and
off five times and no change.
I'm running software version 1.371 and realize that a "long term" fix may be to
load 1.372 which I have already downloaded to my computer. But, I was wondering
if there was something else and wanted to make sure that I haven't made an
"operator" error.
Any ideas for a quick fix?

All:
No, I have not tried a Master Reset, but I will shortly.
But, I did notice something interesting. I live in a relatively
high noise area so I generally leave the NR on. Well, yesterday and today
the noise was relatively low and I had the NR off. After posting about the
frozen sweep, I was chasing some DX and some local noise started. I turned
on the NR, and, you guessed it, the sweep started working. Turned the NR
off, sweep stopped. Did it several times with the same result.
Looked in the instruction manual, and I didn't see anything about
the NR being on for the sweep to work. Interesting.
I'm going to do the Master Reset and see what happens.
