The mute relay in the Triton is SPDT. One set of contacts goes to the Mute
N/O,N/C jacks and the other to the EXT.T/R. The mute N.O and EXT t/R are
normally open, and close when the Triton is switched to transmit, so I would
say the EXT T/R is closed before RF gets to the ant jack. This relay is
rated at 28V@2a DC resistive or 100 VAC, with one side at ground potential.
If you need a set of contacts above ground, or to switch line voltage for
the amp, there is a modification that needs to be made.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [TenTec] Triton IV External Keying Questions
> I have a few questions, regarding keying in the Triton IV. Specifically,
is the EXT T/R connector closed, before, or after there is RF present at the
output jack? I'm working on external keying for a homebrew amplifier.
