Hit "MEUNS", "TX" and lines number 5 and 6 are "EXT T/R Delay 1" and "EXT
T/R delay 2". I have mine set to 22%. For about 30 wpm, that enables
hearing between words, but not characters.
By the way, this delay is now applied to the keying as well as the single
cable keying (as of the latest firmware release, 1.372). Prior to this
release it was only applied to the single-line keying, not to the loops.

Just what is the amount of delay (or is it more accurately "advance") on

Orion amp keying line?
Is the factory default safe?
I can't find a place to change it unless the keying loop is enabled and I
don't have an amp with such a loop.
