After reading the eHam reviews it seemed everyone
agreed the SCAF-1 was a better invention than sliced
bread. It's not that revolutionary.
It's a great tool, but mainly for CW.
If you like the way Ten Tecs reduce listening fatigue
as compared to other brands on CW, you should hear how
the SCAF-1 makes the older Ten Tecs sound when it is
used in place of a crystal filter.
It probably also helps on older radios like like Drake
TR4C and FT101.
On SSB, the SCAF-1 seems to start at about 2.2khz so
unless you are trying to dig ssb signals out of the
noise, you probably won't use it.
