There is mention of it in the firmware revision history.

- Added bandwidth/mode association. Mode auto recalls last used BW.

I think my previous statement is not quite right.  I was just playing 
with it a little more and see that is does recall the last used BW as 
described above.
For example -

Band Stack Register 1 - LCW 250 hz
Band Stack Register 2 - USB 2800 hz
Band Stack Register 3 - LCW 500 hz
Band Stack Register 4 - USB 3000 hz

If you change Register 2 to LCW the BW will go to 250 hz and if you 
change Register 4 to LCW the BW goes to 500 hz.
On N1MM - Give it another try.  It has come a long way in the last 
couple of years.  There is usually a very stable version right before a 
major contest.
