If you are seeing battery failure call Ten-Tec and they will send you a new
battery. I had a bad battery in mine and it was only one month old. Gene

Duane, If you haven't already, maybe try the memory reset. I certainly don't knowfor sure, but that sounds more like a memory problem than a firmware problem(my guess only). (Hold down VFO B Lock button and power cycle.
