[TenTec] Freq counter noise on the OMNI D

Hi,
having recently got an OMNI D and having received great advice re switch 
cleaning etc from members of this group - thanks to all,   may I ask if there 
is a known cure for noise from the digital readout display?  I've notice this 
effect on several frequencies especially on 18 MHz,  I was thinking of loading 
the leads with ferrite beads, but I assume someone else has "invented the 
wheel" on this one !
