[TenTec] Virtual PC

I am running an Apple G5 for which Virtual PC has not been offered 
yet.  Apparently it is in the works.  I also have a TenTec Jupiter 
and am hoping to get an Orion one of these days.
However, I am unable to download from TT or to use the Pegasus 
simulation program and other good programs found for Windows.
I am wondering whether to wait for Virtual PC or buy a cheap used PC. 
How well does  VPC run on machines like the G4???  What will I need 
for a hookup??
