Allan is right. Black is not beautiful on radios! I preferred the lighter colors of the Omni VI, but liked the old Triton IV and original Argonaut even better! I've probably operated a dozen contests with the Argonaut set up in a tent and using only candle light to see (backlight was switched off to save power which was being taken from my motorcycle battery). That's when you really "see" a difference between a light-colored and dark-colored radio! If you like, take a look at one of my portable setups at www.dj0ip.de (opening picture).
