One small point, [almost] ALL older rigs, Ten-Tec or otherwise had a minor blemish when trying to work split with a large difference in TX and RX frequency. Since they had a built-in preselector, you could either tune it to the TX frequency or to the RX frequency. The radio would be slightly insensitive on the frequency where the preselector was not tuned to. This was not a big issue in day to day work, but in contest work where you might want to monitor both frequencies or to do rapid switching, it was a bit of a handicap. 73 Rick |
