Dan, N4VET: What power do you get when you whistle into the mike? In each case, it should be the same as your CW power. With normal voice operation, the power read on a wattmeter will be much less than the CW power on a properly adjusted rig. Without extensive speech processing, it is not at all unusual for the wattmeter to read less than TEN watts with 100 watts PEP shown on a monitoring 'scope.
