The architecture of the Argonaut V is years removed from the long ago design
of the Scout.
The Scout micro only gets hard pressed if you are a CW speed merchant who
never pauses in their CW sending, (unlikely) and exceeds 25 wpm, (unlikely).
There are some modes to the temperature compensating caps of the PTO to make
any shift in frequency due to micro controller correction a minimal one.
Putting a fan on the heat sink of any rig is another way to improve
stability, as will lowering the power a small amount.
The Argonaut V is an optically encoded tuning rig like most current rig
designs. I think that is all covered in the specifications and catalog
pages of the Ten Tec web site and other references to Argo V on the web.
