N1EU> If you do the numbers, it is not unusual to call cq (gulp) 10,000 times in a weekend contest and the silence of PTT is a luxury I may choose over the handful of q's I might miss from not hearing the rare out of sequence caller. I guess you were using PTT (or Orion) when you worked me in W1BB 160 m contest!? I remember when TT appeared on hamradio scene and became darling of CW QSK ops although hardware left a lot to be desired. That was long before radios were interfaced with personall computers.
