I do not agree with you.
I don't think one setting will always be right for all speeds and
all the different "fists" which people have.
Not everyone uses the electronic keyer.

Equipment manufacturers are not required to provide
facilities for shortening or lengthening of dits.
It would suffice if they simply and accurately reproduced
