According to DL6WU and others, the driven element of a yagi only affects SWR, not pattern, so the driven element can be off resonance and still achieve the pattern, especially in a long yagi where it would seem that the driven element would be most particular. Its not. The driven element has virtually no effect on pattern or F/B and the long yagis of DL6WU are very difficult to beat for performance. 73, Jerry, K0CQ -- Entire content copyright Dr. Gerald N.
