Hello Grant,The Ameritron internal QSK-5PC works well with the Omni 6+? I thought I read on the reflector that there were timing problems. I'd like to add QSK to my AL-80A / Omni 6+ set-up. Thanks, K3VJ > > Hi-Some months back, someone had a QSK 5 Ameritron qsk> unit.Yes, I have one, on the shelf now. Why? The open frame relays are very difficult to clean, the contacts that is. The result: in very short amount of time the thing goes "deaf"! As far as QSK, it works fine, but pretty soon, you can't hear any signals when it is "in line".I use the QSK-5PC in an AL-1200 and it has worked absolutely flawlessly for about 7 years. Prior to that I had the ealrier version in a AL-180A and it was also problem free, provided I didn't violate the keying constraints. The Ameritron QSK is an excellent QSK switch .....
