[TenTec] Delta II 60 meters?

Can a Delta II be opened up for MARS or 60 meters?  I'm wondering if the 
Delta II might be the least expensive Ten Tec 60 meter rig?
on the other hand ...

... has anyone come across a 60 meter transverter that meets the technical 
requirements for 60 meters? ARRL cautions against using older rigs on 60 
meters but I'm wondering if  a crystal controlled transverter might do the 
job?
